SBEM Calculations

SBEM: Simplified Building Energy Model

Commercial Energy Assessments utilise a computer program (iSBEM)developed by BRE that provides an analysis of a building's energy consumption.
SBEM calculations provide an analysis of a building's energy consumption, used in support of the National Calculation Methodology (NCM) and the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). The SBEM calculations method is also used in determining CO2 emission rates for new buildings for compliance with the new Part L of the Building Regulations (England and Wales).

SBEM Calculations are undertaken by Goslin and Co Ltd on receipt of a full set of Building Regulations drawings, fee schedules are determined by assessing each project individually.
We have undertaken specialist training at the BRE to be qualified to undertake these assessments and are registered on the FAERO competency scheme.
