For non-dwellings, such as commercial or industrial scale buildings, SBEM is the method of calculating a buildings energy and carbon performance.
As part of the UK Part L Building Regulations, all new build structures and some extensions require SBEM calculations. They should be submitted at the same time as your Building Control Application.
Goslin and Co are experienced in SBEM calculations and delivering the ‘pass’ rating that you require. We use a computer software-based model called iSBEM (developed by the BRE) to establish energy ratings.
We have worked on projects as wide ranging as care homes, veterinary clinics, offices, industrial units, and schools.
Part L Building Regulations changed on the 1st October 2010 and now all commercial buildings for sale or to let over 500m2 require an EPC for compliance.
We will need some information from you to assist the calculations. Please call or email us today, we’ll be more than happy to talk you through how to gather this information, and offer you a free quotation.
